摘要: Carbon isotope compositions for both the carbonate shells and soft bodies (organic tissue) of living land snails collected mostly from Loess Plateau, China have been measured. The result shows that δ13C values range −13.1‰ to −4.3‰ aragonite shell samples −26.8‰ −18.0‰ body samples. Although are enriched in 13C relative averagely by 14.2(±0.8)‰, δ13Ca closely correlated δ13Corg values, expressed as = 1.021 + 14.38 (R 0.965; N 31). This relationship indicates is primarily a function isotopic composition snail diets since previous studies proved same their food carbon composition. In other words, can be used proxy estimate dietary abundance snails. data also support enrichment results mainly equilibrium fractionations between metabolic CO2, HCO3− hemolymph aragonite, partially kinetic when form during activity.
