摘要: A number of chimeric simian-human immunodeficiency virus (SHIV) viruses containing tat, rev, vpu, and env from HIV-1 (strain HXBc2) in a genetic background simian (SIVmac239) have been derived the parental nonpathogenic SHIV-4 virus. In this article we examine renal pathology associated with derivation these pathogenic SHIV strains.
