摘要: In the present study, we investigated effectiveness of surgeons in determining incidental gallbladder pathologies at laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC). This study included 548 patients with gallstones who underwent LC between May 1, 2001 and October 15, 2003. The surgeon made an incision on wall for inspection, palpated mucosa after removing from abdominal cavity to look unsuspected pathologies. If abnormal was observed or palpated, it marked a silk suture then histopathologic examination performed. Fifty specimens were found be suspi-cious by surgeon. Histopathological frozen sections revealed 15 these specimens. Strikingly, 5 considered have cancer (GBC). other consistent adenomyomatosis, xanthogranulomatous cholecystitis, fibroepithelial hyperplastic polyps. Four 498 definitive histopathological examination, all them gastric metaplasia. sensitivity specificity procedure 78.9% 93%, respectively. A simple prosedure; that is, palpation gallbladder, seems useful diagnosis
