摘要: The medial sural artery supplies the gastrocnemius muscle and sends perforating branches to skin. possible use of these musculocutaneous perforators as source a perforator-based free flap was investigated in cadavers. Ten legs were dissected, topography significant vessels on both lateral muscles recorded. A mean 2.2 (range, 1 4) noted over muscle, whereas only 20 percent specimens perforator moderate size muscle. from clustered about 9 18 cm popliteal crease. When two present (the most frequent case), located at 11.8 8.5 15 cm) 17 19 series six successful clinical cases is reported, including five flaps one pedicled for ipsilateral lower-leg foot reconstruction. dissection somewhat tedious, but vascular pedicle can be considerably long suitable caliber. Donor-site morbidity minimal because not included flap. Although short, it seems that useful transfer lower-limb
