Redox and catalytic behaviors of chromium oxide supported on zirconia

摘要: Chromium oxide supported on zirconia was prepared by dry impregnation of powdered Zr(OH)4with an aqueous solution (NH4)2CrO4 followed calcining in air. Upon the addition only a small amount chromium (1 wt% Cr) to ZrO2, both acidity and acid strength catalyst increased remarkably. The redox catalytic behaviors samples were investigated through XPS reaction cumene using pulse technique. It found that Cr6+ species existing surface responsible for formation strong sites activity cracking cumene. However, easily reduced Cr3+ during active α-methylstyrene due dehydrogenation could be reoxidized treatment with O2 subsequently exhibited
