摘要: In a patient with akinetic mutism, extensive circumscribed bilateral lesions in the precentral part of centrum semiovale, due to delayed necrotizing leucoencephalopathy after combined intravenous polychemotherapy and radiation, were found at autopsy. CT somatosensory evoked potentials normal slow alpha rhythm was present, but there lack EEG desynchronization. Akinetic mutism loss desynchronization this case are thought result from interrupted thalamofrontal extrathalamic reticulofrontal projections disconnection anterior limbic cortex.
