摘要: Synthesis of the first fully characterized, water-soluble boronated phthalocyanine is reported. Reaction 4-nitrophthalonitrile with dimethyl malonate in presence base yielded (3,4-dicyanophenyl)malonate which was converted into (3,4-dicyanophenyl)propargylmalonate by sequential treatment potassium hydroxide and propargyl bromide. Formation o-carborane cage accomplished reaction alkyne decaborane acetonitrile at reflux. High-temperature solid state condensation resulting o-carboranylphthalonitrile cobalt(II) chloride followed ester deprotection cation exchange provided closo-carbonylphthalocyanine product. The product contains 40 boron atoms (27% weight) may be useful as a tumor-seeking delivery agent for neutron capture therapy cancer.
