摘要: In a randomized, placebo-controlled trial, the effects of treatment with fish oil (eicosapentaenoic acid, 1.08 g/day) and mustard (alpha-linolenic 2.9 were compared for 1 year in management 122 patients (fish oil, group A), 120 (mustard B), 118 (placebo, C) suspected acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Treatments administered about (mean) 18 hours after symptoms AMI all three groups. The extent cardiac disease, rise enzymes, lipid peroxides comparable among groups at entry into study. After total events significantly less placebo (24.5% 28% vs. 34.7%, p < 0.01). Nonfatal infarctions also (13.0% 15.0% 25.4%, 0.05). Total deaths showed no significant reduction group; however, had (11.4% 22.0%, Apart from decrease event rate, arrhythmias, left ventricular enlargement, angina pectoris group. Reductions blood lipoproteins two intervention modest do not appear to be cause benefit Diene conjugates groups, indicating that part may caused by oxidative stress. findings this study suggest possibly due presence n-3 fatty acids, provide rapid protective AMI. However, large is necessary confirm suggestion.
