Social Impact of a Transformative Service-Learning Experience in a Post-conflict Setting

摘要: In the context of 2016 Peace Agreement signed between Colombian government and FARC-EP (Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia-Ejercito del Pueblo), several challenges for society academia have emerged: (1) overcoming gap rural urban settings, which has been one roots armed conflict, (2) training psychologists transforming traditional educational practices, not designed to fulfill community needs in a post-conflict setting. One strategies from overcome these difficulties is create alliances with communities where students learn key competences foster horizontal approach while actively working community. region Caqueta, Colombia, two Territorial Spaces Training Reincorporation (ETCR) were created order provide space former guerrilla members' reintegration civil society. ETCR Hector Ramirez, 27 faculty participated service-learning project (2 weeks December 2018 June 2019) they engaged local daily practices social projects based on community's prioritized needs. The aim this study was analyze learning process undergraduate psychology peacebuilding Colombia. This grounded Participatory Action Research (PAR) data collected include reflective narratives video diaries by before during course, focus groups after experience. Findings suggest that who experience are developing cultural humility, through affective understandings consolidation practice members their knowledges.
