Are female athletes at increased risk for disordered eating and its complications?

摘要: The purpose of the study was to make a systematic review and describe confront recent studies that compare presence disordered eating its complications in young female athletes controls subjects – PubMed, Scielo, Medline, ScienceDirect, WILEY InterScience, Lilacs Cochrane were databases used for this review. Out 169 22 selected 11,000 women from 68 sports studied. short version EAT most common instrument track eating. Results showed 55% found no significant difference percentage between controls. Also higher reported frequency menstrual dysfunction than finally 50% incidence low bone mass Not all investigated conditions triad, but authors concluded it seemed more severe stage disorder. Due heterogeneity studies, definitive conclusion about groups at highest risk remains be elucidated.
