摘要: Significant differences that exist between the sexes affect prevalence, incidence and severity of a broad range diseases conditions. Men women also differ in their response to drug treatment. It is therefore essential understand these reactions order appropriately conduct risk assessment design safe effective treatments. Even from modest perspective, how when we use drugs can result unwanted unexpected outcomes. This review summarizes sex-based impact on pharmacokinetics, includes general comparison clinical pharmacology as it applies men, pregnant women. Sex-related or pregnancy-induced changes absorption, distribution, metabolism elimination, significant, may guide dosage regimen therapeutic monitoring increase its effectiveness reduce potential toxicity. Given those parameters, our knowledge sex differences, derive essentially all factors necessary for optimization. Since this rapidly evolving area, practitioner prescribing information recent literature fully therapeutics.
