摘要: Testicular germ-cell tumour (TGCT) is the most common cancer in young men, and genetic epidemiological studies suggest that disease has a strong basis. Until 2009, very little of this component had been explained. Genome-wide association have since identified eight SNPs at six loci which together account for approximately 15% risk TGCT offer novel biological insights into testicular oncogenesis. In review, we summarize epidemiology TGCT, detail contribution genome-wide made to our understanding basis reflect on how future technological advances may assist revealing remaining factors underlying susceptibility.
