摘要: Angiogenesis plays an important role in the growth and metastasis of solid tumours. Platelet-derived endothelial cell factor (PD-ECGF) is known to be chemotactic for cells vitro angiogenic vivo. It also as gliostatin, a promoting neuronal survival, thymidine phosphorylase (dThdPase), which catalyses reversible phosphorylation thymine 2-deoxyribose-1-phosphate. This enzymatic activity critical activity. PD-ECGF protein highly expressed tumours compared with most normal tissues has been correlated tumour growth, invasion clinical studies. In addition, dThdPase (by inference PD-ECGF) found major determinant toxicity 5-fluorouracil its prodrugs, are extensively studied clinically anti-cancer agents. review attempts summarize recent gains understanding nature, location action specific relevance biology.
