摘要: Map2k1 -/- embryos die at mid-gestation from abnormal development and hypovascularization of the placenta. We now show that this phenotype is associated with a decreased labyrinth cell proliferation an augmented apoptosis. Although activation MAP2K1 MAP2K2 is widespread in labyrinthine region, MAPK1 MAPK3 is restricted to cells lining maternal sinuses, suggesting an important role for ERK/MAPK cascade these cells. In placenta, perturbed. Abnormal localization of the syncytiotrophoblasts also observed even though this lineage specified correct time during placentogenesis. The placental phenotype can be rescued tetraploid experiments. addition, -specific deletion embryo leads normal embryo development birth viable mice. Altogether, data enlighten the essential role extra-embryonic ectoderm during placentogenesis. embryo, gene function appears dispensable.
