摘要: Amiodarone, an iodinated benzofuran derivative, is used for treatment of refractory cardiac arrhythmias. Certain features the drug's structure resemble those biologically active thyroid hormone, triiodothyronine (T3). In addition, drug has a variety complex effects on hormone physiology, including number possible antagonistic function at cellular level. The occasionally causes clinically overt hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism. We review these discuss their clinical implications.
