摘要: Abstract Exposure to indoor radon, a naturally occurring radioactive gas, is one of the main causes lung cancer worldwide. Although radon tests are easily accessible in most countries, and protective actions effective relatively easy apply, levels testing subsequent home remediation remain lower than aimed for. Public engagement, particularly through internet, may contribute addressing this value-action gap. Given their role as common interaction points between citizens public services, research analyzed websites from stakeholder engagement perspective. The rich database assembled, eight European countries with highly prone areas, provides for empirical novelty study. website evaluation relied on internet communication metrics adapted risk mitigation. This included availability information, accessibility, interaction, dialogue, responsiveness, content design, transparency openness. Unexpectedly, results show that information areas often limited poor, instance only three pages dedicated have been found. Radon should be improved consistent supported by engaging stories, provide personalized features, support feedback include use social media.
