摘要: Abstract This paper examines the potential for property rights in carbon to affect industrial ecology opportunities. Given that emissions trading schemes greenhouse gases are becoming more widely implemented, definition of right can barriers and opportunities ecology, alongside other factors. The uses legislation Australia two possible scenarios future energy generation Latrobe Valley, 2050 as an illustrative case study identify issues arising from ill-defined rights. Currently, electricity region is reliant on coal-based generators. Scenario one focuses bio-industries renewables with no coal usage; scenario capture storage resulting moderate high use. If a soil emerges before subterranean carbon, then bio-based could be enabled ahead regional symbiosis involving storage. A generalised framework considering intersection presented focus tensions in: contributing sustainable development, system boundaries finally exchange mechanisms.
