摘要: Glioblastomas (GBMs) are considered to be one of the deadliest human cancers, characterized by a high proliferative rate, aggressive invasiveness and insensitivity radio- chemotherapy, as well short patient survival period. Moreover, GBMs among most vascularized invasive cancers in humans. Angiogenesis is correlated with grade malignancy inversely survival. One first steps tumor invasions migration. GBM cells have ability infiltrate disrupt physical barriers such basement membranes, extracellular matrix cell junctions. The invasion process includes overexpression several members super-family zinc-based proteinases, Metzincin, particular sub-group, metalloproteinases. Another interesting aspect that, inside tissue, there up 30% microglia or macrophages. However, little known about immune performance interactions GBMs. These singular properties will described here. A sub-population stem-like may source tumors since, apparently, stem (GSCs) highly resistant current cancer treatments. therapies, while killing majority cells, ultimately fail treatment because they do not eliminate GSCs, which survive regenerate new tumors. Finally, prognostic has shown improvement decades. In this context, we discuss how membrane-acting toxins called cytolysins can potential tool for treatment.
