摘要: Proteins that share similar primary sequences to the protein originally described in salt-stressed tobacco cells have been named osmotins. So far, only two osmotin-like proteins were purified and characterized of latex fluids. Osmotin from Carica papaya is an inducible lacking antifungal activity, whereas Calotropis procera osmotin a constitutive protein. To get additional insights into this subject, we investigated osmotins fluids five species. Two potential Cryptostegia grandiflora Plumeria rubra detected by immunological cross-reactivity with polyclonal antibodies produced against C. (CpOsm) ELISA, Dot Blot Western assays. Osmotin-like not Thevetia peruviana, Himatanthus drasticus healthy fruits. Later, new through immunoaffinity chromatography anti-CpOsm immobilized antibodies. Worth noting chromatographic efficiency allowed for purification belonging H. latex, which was detectable immunoassays. The identification confirmed after MS/MS analyses their tryptic digests. It concluded reported here structural similarities CpOsm. However, unlike CpOsm, they did exhibit activity Fusarium solani Colletotrichum gloeosporioides. These results suggest different sources may be involved distinct physiological or defensive events.
