摘要: Hypoxia, a characteristic feature of locally advanced solid tumors, has emerged as key factor the tumor pathophysiome, since it can promote progression and resistance to therapy. Independent established prognostic parameters, such clinical stage, histology, histological grade nodal status, hypoxia been identified an adverse for patient outcome. Studies pretreatment involving direct assessment (polarographic oxygen tension measurements) have suggested poor prognosis patients with hypoxic tumors. These investigations indicate worse disease-free survival cancers uterine cervix or soft tissue sarcomas. In head & neck cancers, studies suggest that pretherapeutic is local control.
