摘要: Background —Use of automatic external defibrillators (AEDs) in children aged <8 years is not recommended. The purpose this study was to develop an ECG database shockable and nonshockable rhythms from a broad age range pediatric patients test the accuracy Agilent Heartstream FR2 Patient Analysis System for sensitivity specificity. Methods Results —Children ≤12 who either developed arrhythmias or were at risk developing studied. Two sources used database: whose recorded prospectively via modified AED had captured on paper digitized subsequent analysis. divided into 5-second strips, classified by 3 reviewers, then assessed analysis algorithm. A total 696 five-second rhythm strips 191 (81 female 110 male) 1 day 12 (median 3.0 years) analyzed. There 100% specificity rhythms. Sensitivity ventricular fibrillation 96%. Conclusions —There excellent all groups high indicate that there very low inappropriate shock correctly identifies rhythms, making algorithm both safe effective children.
