Benign multiple sclerosis: cognitive, psychological and social aspects in a clinical cohort.

摘要: Objectives A study of cognitive, psychological and social aspects in benign multiple sclerosis (MS). Methods One hundred sixty three patients with MS (defined as disease duration ≥ 15 years Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) score ≤ 3.0 ) underwent neuropsychological testing on the Rao’s Brief Repeatable Battery (BRB) Stroop test, evaluation depression Montgomery Asberg Depression Rating (MADRS), fatigue Fatigue Severity (FSS) handicap Environmental (ESS). Patients’ cognitive performance was compared that 111 demographically matched healthy controls. Cognitive impairment defined failure at least 3 tests, using fifth percentile controls’ cut-off point. Clinical correlates were determined by logistic regression analysis.
