Adenocarcinoma of the lung among women: risk associated with smoking, prior lung disease, diet and menstrual and pregnancy history

摘要: Abstract To investigate the role of tobacco and some other known or suspected factors responsible for risk developing adenocarcinoma lung, to compare with cell types (squamous-, small- large-cell cancers) in Czech women, we conducted a case-control study. Data collected by personal interviews from 145 cases 221 lung cancer types, 1624 controls were analyzed using unconditional logistic regression. Cigarette smoking was main determinant all major among its effect weaker on than squamous-, cancers. Among never smokers, passive childhood (before age 16) did not significantly increase (OR=1.35, 95%CI 0.75–2.45), contrasting an elevation cancers combined (OR=2.10, 1.02–4.33). Excess associated consumption red meat daily several times per week (OR=1.81, 1.04–3.18) restricted combined. Wine drinking, at higher frequency once month, inversely (OR=0.46, 0.23–0.92), however, (OR=0.77, 0.47–1.28). Inverse associations emerged quantity menstrual flow (OR=0.63, 0.40–0.99), pains mental tension related menses (OR=0.61, 0.42–0.89).
