摘要: In order to obtain a better understanding of the decomposition mechanisms antiwear and antioxidant engine oil additives such as zinc dialkyldithiophosphate (ZDDP) molybdenum dithiocarbamate (MoDTC), tribochemical thermally deposited films were prepared from solutions containing varying concentrations these two additives. The chemistry was studied by using X-ray absorption (XANES) spectroscopy photoelectron (XPS). properties examined on Plint rubbing machine measuring amount wear function time XANES XPS spectra indicate that dominant species MoDTC in resembles MoS2-like film, thermal films, are those sulphate MoO3. also phosphorus ZDDP forms polyphosphate chains lengths. combined use organo-Mo compounds Zn alkyl dithiophosphates showed synergi...
