摘要: Forty-six specimens of a large Miocene hominoid, Afropithecus turkanensis, recently recovered from northern Kenya preserve many morphological details that are described. The include cranial, mandibular, and postcranial parts. They compared briefly with other hominoids. It is suggested may have affinities Heliopithecus, Kenyapithecus, the hominoid Moroto Napak, although it noted comparative material limited in number common anatomical parts preserved.
