摘要: Abstract Background: Women undergoing hysterectomy for benign disease are presented with the choice of ovarian conservation or removal. The beneficial effect on cancer must be weighed against risks hormone withdrawal. Wide variations in practice patterns exist. Methods: purpose this review article is to summarize and critically evaluate existing primary evidence regarding impact adnexal versus removal specific health issues cancer, coronary heart (CHD), sexual cognitive function, osteoporotic hip fractures. Results: Elective bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy (BSO) women under 50 years associated an increased risk CHD dysfunction.
