摘要: Objective The objective of the study was to examine relationship between bilateral oophorectomy (BSO) and risk coronary heart disease (CHD). Study Design We searched PubMed, EMBASE, meeting abstracts, reference lists for studies that compared women with BSO at time hysterectomy with: (1) ovarian conservation, (2) naturally menopausal women, (3) premenopausal or (4) no history but unreported status. primary outcome fatal nonfatal CHD. Results reviewed 1956 citations. Seven observational met inclusion criteria. Heterogeneity among precluded formal metaanalysis. Four reported increases CHD only in some subgroups not fully adjusted multivariate models. Three found increased following BSO, these had significant limitations.
