摘要: The aim of the present study was to describe periodontal tissue that formed after GTR when different resorbable barriers were applied degree III furcation defects. performed in 5 foxhound dogs. 2nd and 4th premolars both sides mandible extracted. Degree defects produced 3rd mandibular premolars. weeks later, therapy using a barrier composed by polylactide-glycolide copolymer on one quadrant (group A). In contralateral quadrant, made polylactide citric acid ester B) used. dogs sacrificed 6 months reconstructive therapy. Tissue blocks containing experimental teeth excised, demineralised EDTA embedded paraffin. Serial sections cut mesio-distal plane parallel with long axis roots. microtome set at 7 microm. stained hematoxyline eosin. From each biopsy, 3 representing central part selected for light microscopic examination. healed sites, descriptive histological analysis histomorphometric measurements newly tissues performed. groups root surface covered cellular, extrinsic-intrinsic fibers type cementum. composition ligament similar groups. proportions bone, bone marrow ligament, however, substantially larger group A than B. Group B, an area previous defect consistently occupied granuloma. It is suggested presence granuloma prevented regrowth.
