摘要: Observations on the interaction of anthracycline antibiotics with plasma membrane, performed by morphological, ultrastructural, microanalytical and spectroscopic methods, are reported discussed in this review. Scanning transmission electron microscopy analysis indicates that doxorubicin (DOX) induces dose-dependent modifications cell morphology membrane ultrastructure human erythrocytes. The formation intramembrane particle-free domains both fracture faces suggests DOX molecules become incorporated within lipid bilayer. Electron energy-loss spectroscopy measurements reveal a reduction P/C ratio treated membranes, probably due to phospholipid “dilution” following incorporation molecules. radiowave dielectric induced passive electrical properties membrane. In particular, decrease conductivity drug lipids can affect function specific ion channels. results obtained allow us propose structural model DOX-membrane interaction, which self-associate remarkable changes functional strengthening hypothesis also exert its cytotoxic action at level.
