摘要: The present work evaluated the effects of alcoholic extracts salvia (Salvia officinalis), thyme (Thymus vulgaris), and 2 pure compounds (thymol menthol) on viability Echinococcus granulosus protoscolices in vitro. Four different concentrations each extract (2,500, 1,500, 1,000, 500 μg/ml) 3 thymol menthol (50, 10, 1 were used. Concentration 2,500 μg/ml both showed a significant protoscolicidal activity 6th day. Complete loss occurred with concentration at day 6 7 post-treatment (PT), respectively. Pure compounds, i.e., thymol, potent 50 5 PT, These compared those albendazole sulfoxide (800 μg/ml), commonly used treatment drug for hydatidosis. Krebs-Ringer solution hydatid cystic fluid ratio 4:1 was good preservative which kept viable 15 days.
