Reaggregation of Sodium Alginate Microgel Structures After Shear-Induced Deaggregation at Filtering

摘要: The time dependence of reaggregation sodium alginate (SA) after following the shear-induced deaggregation aggregates (‘egg-box’ like microgel structures) at filtering through neutral 0.20 μm filters has been found. aggregation SA in solution prior to was induced by addition 0.1 mM Ca2+ ions. For concentration 1mg/ml and room temperature, process is finished four minutes from end filtration 3.5 cm3 with rate 1 cm3/min. phenomenon simply explained diffusional driven processes calcium ion – electrostatic interactions.
