摘要: Mox homeobox genes are expressed during early vertebrate somitogenesis. Here we describe the expression of Has-Mox, a gene from gastropod Haliotis asinina. Has-Mox is in trochophore larva paraxial mesodermal bands. During larval development, remains restricted to cells destined form adult muscle foot. This similar that observed for genes, suggesting conserved role myogenesis deuterostomes and lophotrochozoans. In contrast, not lineages ecdysozoan representatives Caenorhabditis elegans or Drosophila; C. genome has lost altogether.
