摘要: Abstract Dopamine has been implicated in maintaining tonic inhibition of carotid body activity. We tested this hypothesis by assessing the ventilatory effects a peripheral dopamine antagonist, domperidone. The agent on ventrilatory responses to hypoxia and hypercapnia were also examined. study was performed awake intact denervated goats. Resting minute ventilation increased while Pa CO 2 decreased (4 Torr) following domperidone administration (0.5 mg/kg, I.V.) This response did not occur goats supporting that endogenous provides body. Hypoxic hypercapnic significantly augmented supports concept dopaminergic modulation stimuli. Domperidone allows chemoreceptor activity animals because its high affinity for D receptors lack CNS effects.
