摘要: Atmospheric pressure operation of a KrF laser is suitable for large‐aperture modules in which several technical limitations on the ICF driver design are overcome by use aerodynamic windows instead conventional solid optical windows. We experimentally studied atmospheric‐pressure pumped 50‐ns electron beams. For 1‐atm mixture Kr and F2 without diluent, specific output energy 4.2 J/1 was obtained with an intrinsic efficiency 5%, comparable to that from normal 10% mixture. According results fluorescence measurements, large amount Kr2F* formed via three‐body collisional quenching high‐concentration even Code calculations indicate higher excitation rate improves reducing especially Kr‐rich mixtures, excess 10 realizable.
