摘要: In a patient with recurrent grade IV glioma of the brain resistant to conventional treatment an antibody guided isotopic scan showed uptake by tumour monoclonal (9A) that was developed against epidermal growth factor receptor but cross reacted blood group A antigen. As therapeutic attempt labelled 1665 MBq (45.0 mCi) iodine-131 delivered area infusion into internal carotid artery. Computed tomography regression after treatment, and appreciable sustained clinical improvement noted without any toxicity. Delivery irradiation arterial may be value in gliomas forms treatment.
