Computed tomography of lipomatous and myxoid tumors.

摘要: Thirty-two lipomatous and myxoid tumors were examined by computed tomography (CT). An attempt was made to correlate the radiographic appearance of tumor different histologic types these tumors. It found that a well delineated lesion with uniform density, an attenuation value below -73 Hounsfield units (HU) absence contrast enhancement can be considered strongly suggestive benign lipoma. Atypical lipomas, myxoma differentiated liposarcomas have good delineation against surrounding tissue no peripheral hypervascularity in majority cases. The values varied between -83 +38 HU. Liposarcomas type, mixed round-cell pleomorphic type all poorly +12 HU varying enhancement. Thus CT play important role preoperative evaluation soft tissues.
