摘要: Microbe-macrophage interactions play a central role in the pathogenesis of many infections. Several bacterial pathogens induce apoptosis specifically macrophages, but mechanisms by which it occurs differ, and resulting pathology can take different courses. Macrophage death caused Shigella flexneri Salmonella spp. has been shown to result release pro-inflammatory cytokines. Conversely, Yersinia suppressing signalling pathways that lead production tumour necrosis factor (TNF)-alpha, cytokine essential for control this infection. It is likely there are variety reasons why macrophages particularly susceptible pathogen-induced apoptosis. One reason may be expression surface receptors recognize highly conserved components, such as lipopolysaccharide (LPS) lipoproteins (BLPs). These have recently activate pro-apoptotic pathways. The roles macrophage disease processes discussed.
