摘要: The ability to learn and overwrite learned associations allows animals respond adaptively changes in their environment. However, such behavioural plasticity is presumed be costly the question arises which extent with restricted neuronal capacity are capable of flexible behaviour. In this study, we investigated learning reversal abilities a jumping spider (Marpissa muscosa). two discrimination tasks spiders had associate colour first task or location second as predictor food reward. Results show that were able quickly form reverse associations. Individuals differences success preference cues they used (colour vs. location) reward's predictor. These results highlight potential for behaviour species small capacities short life spans.
