摘要: Amongst the reasons why cancers are so named, Gabriello Fallopio (1523–1562) cited that seize on surrounding parts with tenacity of a crab seizing its prey [1]. Seizing parts, called invasion, is indeed characteristic malignant tumors, distinguishing them qualitatively from their tissue origin and benign tumors contributing to considerable extent fatal outcome.
