摘要: Four micromechanics models currently used in the analysis of metal matrix composites are reviewed. The four vanishing fiber diameter model, Aboudi multicell and discrete fiber-matrix model. Results predicted by computer programs based on each compared. Comparisons made for laminate properties stress-strain behavior boron/aluminum silicon-carbide/titanium composites. predictions constituent stresses also compared to experimental data. Each did a reasonably good job predicting behavior. Thus, discriminator between is question what type results required, capabilities model program, or ease operation. choice program depends several factors same may not be best all needs. descriptions comparisons this paper should aid program.
