摘要: Human cancer is caused by the accumulation of mutations in oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes. To catalogue genetic changes that occur during tumorigenesis, we isolated DNA from 11 breast colorectal tumors determined sequences genes Reference Sequence database these samples. Based on analysis exons representing 20,857 transcripts 18,191 genes, conclude genomic landscapes cancers are composed a handful commonly mutated gene “mountains” much larger number “hills” at low frequency. We describe statistical bioinformatic tools may help identify with role tumorigenesis. These results have implications for understanding nature heterogeneity human using personal genomics diagnosis therapy.
