摘要: The Erythropoietin – receptor (Epo-EpoR) pathway is involved in tumor growth, metastasis and treatment resistance a potential target therapy. Expression of EpoR has been reported various types cancer seems to be tissue-specific. For example, astrocytomas decreases with grade malignancy but associated patient survival. In human meningiomas expression confirmed by immunohistochemistry, reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction Western Blot. A retrospective study showed that recurrening later had significantly lower mean compared recurrence-free control group. No significant associations between WHO grade, age, sex or brain-invasion have observed. All three known isoforms detected RT-PCR. Only the truncated isoform EpoR-T present all meningiomas, while full-length EpoR-F soluble EpoR-S are seen 66% 58% cases respectively. Lower levels might useful marker for higher recurrence risk, further studies needed verify this observation. impact different on growth possible association peritumoral edema should addressed future studies.
