摘要: PURPOSE To analyze the changes in retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) eyes with nonproliferative macular telangiectasia type 2A (MacTel), by evaluating cell-inner plexiform layer (GCIPL) thickness and nerve fiber (RNFL) comparison to age-matched healthy volunteers. METHODS We performed a retrospective analysis of 99 (53 subjects) MacTel who underwent fundus fluorescein angiography spectral domain optical coherence tomography using Cirrus HD-OCT. also included 44 33 Indian volunteers as control group. Average, minimum, sectoral GCIPL RNFL thicknesses were collected. Comparison between groups was Wilcoxon rank sum test. RESULTS Eighty-eight 47 subjects after ensuring good quality layers' segmentation. Macular constantly diffusely reduced compared controls (P < 0.0001 for each sector). The mean reduction "average" 11%, "minimum" 23%. Similarly, sector), 13% reduction. CONCLUSIONS Our study demonstrated that there significant consistent RGCs degeneration, leading diffuse thinning RGCs' dendrites, cell bodies, axons. These findings are suggestive neurodegeneration 2A.
