摘要: Background: Laser-assisted photoepilation has become the procedure of choice for permanent hair reduction. Our purpose was to evaluate patient satisfaction with using a diode-laser system. Method: A self-administered survey mailed 220 patients who underwent treatment between 2000 and 2004. These questions addressed area treated, number treatments received, postprocedure density, overall satisfaction. Results: Of patients, 114 (52%) completed survey. Eighty percent were either "very satisfied" or "somewhat satisfied." Forty felt they achieved 75% reduction 38% reported 50% The majority required 5-6 over 13-18 months maximum improvement. Multiple this prolonged time significant deterrent completion. (91%) experienced no long-term side effects. Conclusion: Diode-laser removal is safe, well-tolerated procedure. comparable hair-count studies in literature.
