摘要: Antibiotic-associated diarrhea (AAD) is the most common adverse effect of antibiotic therapy. Our aim was to determine effectiveness a dietary supplement yogurt for prevention AAD. Two hundred two hospitalized patients receiving oral or intravenous antibiotics were randomized receive not supplement, consisting 227 grams commercial yogurt, and followed 8 days. Mean age study group 70 years 43% male. Compliance 8-day follow-up 85% 91%, respectively. Patients reported less frequent (12% vs 24%; P = 0.04), significantly total diarrheal days (23 60).
