摘要: The lateral habenular complex is part of the nuclei, a distinct structure in dorsal diencephalon all vertebrates. In contrast to bewildering diversity behaviors, which thought be involved, there an astonishing lack information concerning its cellular organization, neuronal circuits, and neurophysiological mechanisms, may provide physiological molecular basis for diverse biological functions. This problem due unexpected heterogeneity complex. Recently, detailed subnuclear organization has been described (Andres et al. [1999] J Comp Neurol 407:130–150), provides base subsequent behavioral analysis this area. Available criteria, however, can applied semithin sections only. To facilitate further investigations, present work aimed elaborate novel morphologic immunocytochemical criteria that conventional cryostat or Vibratome allow identification delineation subnuclei Consequently, regional, cellular, subcellular localization approximately 30 different neuroactive molecules was investigated. Of these candidate molecules, γ-aminobutyric acid-B receptor protein, Kir3.2 potassium channel tyrosine hydroxylase, neurofilament heavy chain proved suitable markers. Our observation suggests express characteristics. These features used identify delineate on sections. From our results, it expected functional will facilitated considerably. J. Comp.
