摘要: Abstract Tri-o-tolyl phosphate (TOTP) is an industrial and environmental contaminant has been shown to cause delayed neuropathy. The present study was undertaken investigate the effects of this compound on immune system. Several techniques were employed test humoral cellular effects. Male Swiss-Webster mice gavaged with three dose levels TOTP (5, 50, 500 mg/kg) one level tri-m-tolyl (TMTP) (50 in corn oil once a week for 13 weeks. Control animals given alone. Lymphocyte transformation determined cultures splenic cells obtained from sacrificed at 1, 4, 8, Relative proliferation index (RPI) stimulation calculated phytohemagglutinin, pokeweed mitogen, lipopolysaccharide-treated cultures. Plaque formation by hypersensitivity evaluated all after 4 weeks treatment. Immunoglobulin plasma using immunoelectrophoresis. found nondose-related suppression lymphocyte 8 No seen body or organ weights. Plaque-forming cells, hypersensitivity, immunoglobulin not affected either time These findings suggest that neither nor TMTP exhibit immunotoxic used.
