摘要: Summary Folkloric evidence and scientific reports indicate the use of C. podocarpa fruit as a purgative recipe. This study attempts to find in vitro effects its aqueous infusion (ACPF) methanolic extract (MCPF) on motility intestine albino rats Wistar strain compare their effect with those acutifolia (ACAF MCAF). MCPF relaxed both ileum colon dose dependently. Its was blocked by tolazoline (10 –9 M) propranolol M). ACPF had no ileum, but contracted dose-dependently. nifedipine (2.8 × 10 –10 drastically reduced atropine (3.4 –6 MCAF has same similarly affected –8 ACAF (5.1 –7 more potent than contracting colon, Hexamethonium M), chlorpheniramine (3.8 promethazine (3.2 potentiated colon. The results suggest that have anti-diarrhoeal effect. acts via b adrenergic receptor stimulation, while stimulates a-receptor. engage cholinergic system calcium channel activation causing purgation potentiation some blockers could be due allosteric enhancement receptors involved action.
