摘要: Treatment of rat brain C6 astroglioma cells with furan fatty acid F6 prior to exposure hydrogen peroxide shows a strong protective effect against cell death resulting from oxidative stress. This is obtained only for administered as free and an intact ring. It proposed that are rescued by scavenging radicals elicited lipid peroxidation within the membrane. Oxidative processes outside membrane, such protein carbonylation, not affected F6. Furan acids those present in fish oils marine organisms likely beneficial consumption reducing risk diseases have been implicated arise stress, Alzheimer's disease.
