摘要: Abstract A number of experimental studies have demonstrated the optimal coupling between ventricle and arterial load, under physiologic pathologic circumstances, directed to produce maximal stroke work. We investigated matching ventricular properties, quantified by slope end-systolic pressure-volume relationship, with load expressed pressurestroke volume relationship. In normal subjects, ejection fraction ≥60%, elastance was nearly twice as large elastance. This condition affords mechanical efficiency. patients moderate heart failure, 40–59%, almost equal work from a given end-diastolic volume. severe
